Violent Night isn't as wildly entertaining as its concept might suggest, but for those seeking harder-edged holiday fare, it may be a ho-ho-whole lot of fun.

It could have taken its cool concept even further, but Violent Night is still a funny, gory good time -- and David Harbour is terrific as a Santa you won't want to mess with.
