'Get Away' successfully blends dark comedy and horror with effective gore, creepy atmosphere, and humor that doesn't undermine the terror. The cast delivers committed performances, particularly in comedic timing. However, the film suffers from excessively slow pacing in the first two-thirds, poorly written and unfocused storytelling, and predictable plot twists that telegraph early. While the final act picks up momentum and some found it genuinely surprising, many struggled to maintain interest through the sluggish opening.
